Re: wheel bearing

You didn't give an awful lot of info to go on. Unless you have a lot of miles and/or a lot of track time on your G I doubt your problem is with the wheel bearings.
  1. Has this particular set of wheels ever been on the car before? Is it possible they could be bent?
  2. Are they aftermarket wheels, and if so do they have and/or require adaptor rings for your application?
  3. Is it possible the wheels weren't seated squarely against the hub/rotor assembly when you tightened them down?
  4. Are the tires themselves defective? Tread belts and body plies inside a tire can snap, tear, or shift, and even brand new tires can suffer from manufacturing defects.
Or, as you speculated, it's also possible that you simply have bad wheel bearings.

i had to get my wheel bearings replaced not too long ago. i got hit in an accident and my front passenger wheel hit the curb. the bearings got messed up from this. if i remember correctly the part was around 100-150. it doesnt take that long to replace if you have access to a lift and some power tools.

If it's a coupe... make sure the back wheels are on the back...

if the wheel/tire feels loose when moved forward/aft, then it could be
the wheelbearing going bad. but if you move it up/down, the it's probably
just your suspension compressing.

do you hear a howling noise at low speeds?
