Replacing tires, how wide to go on rear? (oem)

Hey guys, just wondering if it is sensible to go a little fatter in the rear, and all around when replacing tires on stock 18" rims. Just wanted to go a little fatter for grip.

have you tried the S03's in 245/45/18 size? might want to try that,
or 255/45/18's.

What's safe on your OEM wheels.........

I wouldn't go much larger than a 255/45X18 with
your stock 18X8" wheels. Any larger and your
patch (rubber to the ground) will shrink anyway.
And......do yourself a favor don't buy cheap tires!
Performance only goes away when you run poor
quality rubber.
