Asanti wheels, wow

Ive had my Asanti wheels for a few months now and have put about 50 miles on them. They have never seen rain or a car wash. Thats right not even a car wash from me. Well today I noticed that on the front wheels there was bubbles under the chrome, on both sides! My buddy owns a wheel shop and called his dealer. They said its a comon problem with Asanti and they will fix them. This is good and bad at the same time. Yes they are fixing them but for one I have to go without my wheels and I have a large show coming up. The other is how do I know they wont do this again? They wont take em back so Im stuck. Its a good thing I just got my Iforged in. They were going on my Z but I guess they are going on the G for now Just a heads up for those that are thinking about ordering Asanti.

Superb isnt the word, the quality should be PERFECT. This just shows you dont always get what ya pay for and the most expensive isnt always the best.

If it I had to do it again I wouldnt. Asanti is just a name and the wheels just dont cut it for the price. The back of the lip isnt even chrome or polished, its just raw. The stem is on the instde of the hoop when it should go through a rivit. But I do get a lot of props on them. People really like em.

Steve, if they know this is a common problem then what are they doing to fix the issue for future production or are they just hoping that not all of them bubble. Not what I would have expected for the amount you have to pay to receive them.

Yeah I dunno. When my buddy was on the phone with his vendor he had the phone on speaker. My buddy said that he had a set of wheels with two front rims that were failing. The guy said ok we'll pick em up. It was that easy, we were both shocked at how easy it was. He then went on to tell his vendor that these have never seen rain or anything any that I was pissed. His vendor went on to say that for his area that he deals in he returns 6 to 7 wheels a week from them. After hearing this we knew why it was so easy to return them. When we call tomorrow Im going to ask that question. Retail on these is 1200.00 a wheel and I would think for that price they would have NO problems! I just hope they fix it for good! My new Iforged are polished so I guess I dont have to worry about this on them. I paid about half of what I paid for the Asanti's and quality is even better! Ive had soo much good luck with Iforged. If I buy another set of wheels it will be from them.

it is scary to think that you pay 4 to 7K for wheels and they are junk!
