I give up, i cant take it anymore, i am giving in and ordering brake pads. i have been looking around, and have heard that axxis metal pads are excellent all around pads that reduce brake dust and are pretty cheap. i have been calling places all day and cant find anyone that can order them for me. i also heard a lot about the greenstuff pads. but people have been saying they create more dust. I AM A FANATIC AND CANT CLEAN MY WHEELS TWICE A DAY ANYMORE. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I was in the same mental condition you are.

There's several good aftermaket street pads out there. Do a search on G35Driver and Fresh Alloy. Bake pad dust and premature wear is a big topic.

I went with the Metal Matrix pads all around. Sorry I didn't do it sooner. More linear stoping power, no dust, no "moaning" once broken in.

 

i read from a previous post about satisfied ceramic brakes for our coupes. they can be purchased from tirerack.com for $37 for the fronts. i just received mine the other day but haven't had a chance to install them yet. apparently, they have very little to no dust. someone had posted up pics of their wheels after the installation and the front wheels were cleaner than the back oem brakes as well.

 

I just put EBC Greenstuff pads on my G. I havent driven enough to let you know how they are. They are only made for non-brembo at the moment.

A quick question.... about these "Satisfied Ceramic Brakes"

Are they available for the rears as well as the fronts? I have the Brembo brakes on my car.

i really don't know the answer to that question. on the tirerack website, the rear pads aren't even listed. i figure either they aren't available, but i'm sure they are available because what manufacturer would only make the front brake pads. or perhaps since everyone is only complaining about the front brake dust, tirerack only stocked the fronts. you figure the rear tires don't accumulate much dust. i would just contact someone at tirerack--they've always been really good about that.

I do hope they have pads for the rears as well since they are really bad too.

they probably don't have the rear pads... lotta manufacturers have the front, but not the back for some reason. i know a lot of the big names like hawk, ferodo, ebc, etc don't have the rears just yet. the only companies with the rears that i've seen so far are the metal matrix from stillen, and the stock pads from nismo.
