Size or Finish?

Need opinions. I have a silver sedan and I am about to buy new wheels and tires. I have a choice between 20" silver wheels or 19" chrome wheels(same wheels, just different size and finish). Should I get the 20" silver or 19" chrome?

Thanks,

Re: Size or Finish?

I have seen them both in person and I would defineatly go with chrome. Go with wide rear tires like 285/35/19 and 245/35/19 up front.

Life is too short to argue on the Internet!

Re: Size or Finish?

I have to agree with gtorres44, I like the look of the silver, and would go 19's, 20's too big for my taste. Besides weight gains are another issue especially with chrome.

BTW, like the rims alot, what are they and where are you getting them from?

19" silver...but if your only choices are the above, I'd go for silver, regarless of size.

Re: Size or Finish?

They are Giovanna Genoa. I am buying the wheels from a shop here in the Tampa, Florida area.

Get the silver ones. If it was on a Diamond Graphite or white, I would get the polish color.

Re: Size or Finish?

Read all the posts in the wheels section involving someone who went with aftermarket wheels and ask yourself this: How many people said "I wish I would have gone with smaller wheels." Now add up the amount who said "I wish I would have gone with bigger wheels." The fact is, everyone who has gone with 20's and posted their experience on here is totally happy. There have been a few guys who have gone with 19's and wished they had gone bigger because of a huge wheel well gap, which resulted in them wanting to lower the car and dealing with all the potential problems that come along with that. If they had just gone with larger wheels to begin with, they could have saved themselves some money, time, and effort. Just an observation...

Re: Size or Finish?

Are these wheels mainly for looks or for weight reduction?

If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got.

Re: Size or Finish?

20's are never for weight reduction. Always for looks.

Forged 20's have a hard time matching cast 17's in weight.

True enough, but cast 17's never look as good as forged 20's.....
