Sorry, guy. Hyper black is not chrome, at least not anywhere I've seen it. Attached is the BBS RS-GT in diamond black, and the PIAA Super Rozza in hyper black, which I still contend are essentially the same. PIAA also makes a color called super black, which is similar to chrome/Rays Metal Coat. (I have pictures, but they're too large to upload.)

The hyper black/diamond black is cool because the darkness varies depending on the amount of light and how it's reflected.

Thoughts on that wheel? I think I like that look.

What about titanium silver on a black coupe? Like these for example. A bit too much of a clash b/w silver and black?
No opinions?

You can make just about any standard color wheel work with black. It's always hard to be certain exactly how they'll look until you see them mounted, but yeah, I think the Ikon will look good in silver. I don't know anything about Ikon, so I'd want to do some research before buying.

Not sure how to put up a poll, so, thoughts?

Black or gunmetal?
I tend to agree that black is getting over done

I prefer a lighter colour wheel on black cars (i.e. gold or silver). Or vice versa, dark colour wheels on a lighter colour car. Gives it a nice clash to distinguish it from the rest of the car. If you do go with black wheels on a black car, at least have a polished lip to distinguish between the tire and wheel. Otherwise, all you see is one big black smear.
