Don't think you can put an "average" to this. A range maybe. $1300 to $6000 depending on brands.

sorry your probably right..just want to see what people on this board have spent on their 19" setups..

also what is the difference between a 2 piece and a 3 piece wheel?

also can I assume all wheels are forged or does it have to be stated...like do 3 pieces only come forged...is this better for me?i live in NY...does it matter..is the rim any stronger if its forged?

3-piece wheels are typically lighter weight than 2-piece wheels, but as a rule they're also more expensive. There are exceptions of course.

Not all 2-piece wheels are forged, nor do they need to be. PIAA manufacturers very nice cast 2-piece wheels.

I found most quality 19" packages range from $3,000 - $4,000, with some going substantially higher.

Don't buy anything until you know the weight, regardless of the wheel construction.

35 pound?, I hope that's with tires I have seen them as light as 18 pounds, Here is a tech article from "Turbo" magazine that helps you to understand weight and it's relationship to HP. Also, if you have access to the current issue of "SportZ" magazine, they have a huge article on wheels this month.

Try to keep the wheels under 30 lbs. each. Many of the more common 19" wheels (Volks, PIAAs 5Zigens, etc.) typically range from about 24 - 29 lbs. Watch out for the knockoffs - they may look the same but they can weigh a lot more. BBS makes some lighter weight stuff, like the RS-GT (awesome wheel), but you'll definitely pay more for them. If you're seriously concerned about the weight, go with 18's. And don't forget to consider the tires - they vary in weight, also.

I mean this is a really tough question. I would put the median for the wheels/tires at around $3,500. Some people pay close to $6,000 and others can get some deals and get rims as low as $1,500.

It really depends on if you want 18s, 19s, or 20s, what color you want?, etc.

19's will be way less expensive up front and in the long run. There really is only one advantage to going with 20's over 19's, and that's appearance. 19's cost less, the tires are less expensive, they weigh less, and they're less prone to pothole damage.
