Curbed one of my wheels......... (pics)

I'd rather not go into it on how I did it because I could kick myself in the nutz everytime I explain it. It was so careless and I never make mistakes like this. But I guess it happens every now and then. Basically I want to know if they can be fixed by a wheel repair shop. It's not as bad or as much as it might seem to be but it's killing me to know it's there:
And the curb job

Thanx,
Chris

G_Spot,

Ouch! I feel for you. Where are you located? You might have better success with regard to wheel repair shop suggestions, if you post in your local/club forum. The damage to your wheel(s) is repairable.

I think you are right. Both can be repaired. You are also "lucky" in the fact that the damaged part isn't painted. From my experience, repairing a polished lip is cheaper due to the repaint isn't required.

Thanx for chiming in and letting me know there's hope. I'm located in Pennsylvania. I have an appointment with a repair shop on the 29th. I hope he gives me good news. So do you think the bend can be banged back in?

Thanx again,
Chris

It can be fixed, but if you want it to match you will need to have all the wheels (lips) polished or else it wont match. Volk GTC's are anodized so you cant just repolish and clear coat it and be done because that wont match either.

Yes, they can be fixed. When wheel company fixes the curbed wheel, you will lose you clear coat on that area (looks like only 1/4 of an inch) no biggie

Yeah I wish they were just stockers too

If I lose a little of the clear coat, it'll be no biggie. As long as the road rash is gone.

Sorry for the double post......

Had 2 of my Volk cleaned up after wife curbed them. They look great but plan to spend $125-$150 each.

That's a huge relief actually with those prices. I was expecting it to be higher. Hopefully I'll get quoted those prices or similar

Thanx,
Chris
