Tire Recomendations

I need to replace my tries and I am thinking of getting Toyo Proxies T1R http://toyo.com/tires/tire_lines/sports_car/tr1.html also I am thinking of getting the 225/55/17 since I haven't found any good rated tires in the OEM sizes (215/55/17). Do you guys have any recomendations on what tires to buy for G's?

I am not sure about your tire sizes, but Chris over at F1 is having a Toyo T1R sale. Give him a shout. If he can, he'll hook you up.

Check out your options in 235/50R17. It's a much more common size, lots of tire choices. It's also virtually the same diameter as 215/55R17, so your speedometer won't be off.

Thanks for your input just 1 more question about the tire sizes, my OEM's are 215/55R17 and I was thinking of getting 225/55R17 I guess my question is what are the pro's and con's of getting non-OEM size. And any specific size recomendations you have for my G? its 04 Sedan.

I have not been happy with Toyo tires in the past.
They just didn't last too long..... way less than the tire rating suggested.

i replaced the OEM GSDs with Falken Ziex 512s in a 225-55-17. The Falkens are only 0.1 inch diameter difference than the GSDs and they are lighter. I live in Florida so i wanted good wet weather handling and these Falkens are performing well. Not as sticky as the GSDs but those were 180 treadwear tires. They are about half the price of a michelin pilot.

If you don't drive like a wild man and don't live where it snows, you may want to consider the Falkens.
