Studs Broken??

Studs Broken??

Has anyone ever broken their studs completly off?? Wondering what causes this to happen, and also is there a write up anywhere on how to repair these??

I'm guessing it's caused by overtightening.
If you're breaking studs just putting a wheel on, I wouldn't suggest DIY stud replacement.
Take it to a pro for new stud(s). Then buy a torque wrench.

I had a person(dumbazz) use one 1.5 lug instead of a 1.25 and when I had it removed it broke the bolt because of cross threading.

Yeah all five on the rear... it was the only way i can get them off! And chipped my new wheels in the process

Thanks for the info I'm going to take your advice..Btw: I didn't put the lugz on a shop did!
