performance tires in winter

how bad is it to run performance tires (like proxes T1s) in snow/winter? if its not a good idea to do so, what are some light-weight all season tires i can buy?

how bad? like walking through a burning building with you soaked in gasoline bad.

you should get snow tires for winter if you can't afford to get a different
car to use in the winter. try some Blizzaks.
