1/16 in wheel spacer... okay without longer bolts?

Would it be okay to use a 1/16 in. (1.58 mm) wheel spacer without swapping out the hub bolts for longer ones? This seems to be a very small amount and seems that longer hub bolts wouldn't be necessary. Anyone want to chime in otherwise if there would be negative effects of doing this? Thanks.

well adding the spacer would mean that your not going to have the same amount of threads around the bolt... meaning its gonna be weaker...

with a 1/16" spacer you gonna lose a thread or two, no big deal. I've put on 1/4" spacers with out replacing the studs.

Under 2mm of thread, you should be fine. You are only losing a small percentage of grip on the lugnuts, but you will be fine.

Yeah, I knew I was going to lose a hair of thread engagement on the lug nuts but figured such a small amount would still be okay. Thanks for the replies. BTW I would only use the spacers for the street. I have the proper offset wheels for the track and won't be using the spacers.
