Scary movements?

Exclamation Scary movements?

Recently I noticed while driving on the freeway my car starts to feel like it's floating side to side teeny bits, steering wheel is straight and not vibrating. Don't know about alignment but seems to go straight if I let the steering wheel go (at low speeds of course)

any ideas?

Get a free alignment check at any firestone.

I have the same. I have a 2004 coupe, original owner and it feels like it's floating a bit. Also seems to slide going thru tight corners. Thinking it might be rear struts.

Usually it's called tramlining. For me it was because my rear tires were really low on tread. It can any number of suspension components. Best thing is to get your car to have a thorough inspection done of your suspension.

if it feels like your front wheels kind of want to follow a crack in the road ever so slightly i also thought it might have been side winds feels similar but i jacked my car up and noticed some play in the wheel ended up being the front lower ball joint that is on the knuckle i pressed the old one out and the new one in and back to normal tight driving

Floating? Only time I ever experienced that feeling was when I was in dire need of new shocks on my last Z. KYBs are a good replacement shock for you G35! Find an independent brake/alignment shop in your area, suspensions are their business! While they're installing the shocks have them check out your suspension and alignment...Gary

Thanks for the information. I still need to get the car into the shop. It just doesn't feel safe. Lucky for me I work from home so i'm not in the car alot. Coming up on 11 years and less than 95K on the car.
