pros and cons of a blow off valve on an ATI Procharger

Ok have a supercharger kit getting installed on my 03 G35 coupe right now. The kit includes the full supercharger kit, intercooler, fuel return line going back to the pump, fuel pressure regulator, 550cc injectors, 255 fuel pump. And a 9 pound pulley. Modds already on my car are hks true dual, high flow cats, kinetix ssv intake manifold and a cold air intake. My question to you guys would it be worth it to get a blow off valve . Sounds cool but I don't care about that. Do I need it for better performance lr to run right?

dont confuse blow off with bypass.

sc work differently than turbos

turbo holds all boost in, then releases when not needed (in combination with the waist gate)

SC bypass is open (making boost even though you arent using it) step on the gas the bypass shuts forcing the air into the engine.

My buddy ran a 15lb pulley with a 11psi waist gate on his ATI procharger, stock block for a few years with no issues.

I recommend buing a bypass valve from Vortech or the like.

at 9psi, confused on why the kit you have doesn thave a waist gate, bypass already?

did you buy it used?

what did the previous owner have.

You say full kit but it appears you are missing a critical piece.

there is a reason the default is bypass. I guess in the end its all preference, but I wouldnt change it up on a guess or not being 100% sure the benefit.

Yea people say putting a box on a supercharger serves no purpose other then to make a louder noise or change the sound. I can't wait to pock my car up should be ready friday hopefully I made soke good gains. The car that its coming from is a 350z he's got pretty much the same bolt oms as me amd he's pushing 430 rear wheel hp. I hope to be around 360-400 range. Dont wanna go over 400 on stock internals. His internals are stock to he's has the blower on there for 10000 miles and never had a problem with the motor. Hopefully I get lucky to

Its not hp to worry about, it's the tq. 420ft/tq to the wheels is pushing it. You can run 500rwhp all day on a stock block. That only yields 380/400ft tq.

I ran 460rwhp and I tracked mine, no issues. Boosted since 2006/2007. I ran out of fuel or I would of done more hp. Lol.

I'm built now shooting for 650 next go round.

Most I had was 577.7/460tq
Now I'm 545.5/445tq

So its roughly 100 diff between hand tq

Damn that's a lot. And good info. I say that's all I want for power now but I'm sure ill get used to it and want more lol. So basically I should tell my tuner to keep my tq under 4 and hopefully ill be good. Thats a lot of power as is. Cant wait to hit the track and see what I do.I ran a 13.7 last time I went. Not bad for an na 03 vqde auto with bolt ons. I hope to be in the mid to low 12s

I suggest getting the 18s widen to 18x10 then running a wider tire.

The sidewall flex on the 18s actually, dramatically, improves launch and traction. The smaller the side wall, the more stiff, the more spin, (less flex)

I am going 20s just to brag on running 345s but my 350z 18inch stockers running Dunlap 600s grib like no tomorrow.

I might also widen my 18s to at least 18x10.

Okay. Let me get all this BS Straight.

You don't 1/4 your car, but you ran a 12.8... and you think slicks are going to take you to 10s?
I ran my car at 400whp on falken 452's and got 12.6

I ran my car at 475whp on slicks and couldn't quite break into 11s. And that's with a 1.5' 60foot.

And then you claim that you're running a supercharger set up at 557wheel horsepower

AND it's a stock block?

Did Jesus build your supercharger, motor and car?
Or did he just put in forged rods, a new gasket and better main/head bolts

EDIT: And you track your car at those ratings, again with a stock block
