$30 temporary black headliner - pictures

If you guys do that, the fabric does get really stiff. It almost feels like sand paper.
You can still budget wrap your headliner for less than $100. A buddy and myself did it within a day, from morning to late evening. Had everything back together and re-wrapped.
Here's what it will look like if you get it wrapped or re-done and not spraying it.
I will admit, I did spray my visors with the dye but I got so sick of it being so damn rough that I just cut them apart and had them wrapped in suede.

My entire headliner is done in suede now.
But you're right, the light coats on the OEM fabric does indeed not make it so rough, but it will never feel the same like OEM.
Also, be warned because I originally sprayed my sunroof visor cover with paint before having it redone in suede. After awhile of sliding it back and forth, the "lines" of where the cover is sliding on cover rails will start to wear down and the original OEM tan will start to appear again.
