G37s Akebono BBK

Hey everyone I have a friend with a wrecked g37s and he said I can take any parts I want if I get them quick. Would you guys think it was safe/functional to take his Akebono calipers and put them on my 07 g35 coupe with new rotors and pads? I have the sports package 19' rays so im not worried about them fitting. Also should I take his dust shield or just cut mine down?

That's what I was thinking. I talked to someone else that thought it wasn't a safe idea but I think it's fine since people typically don't change their brake calipers. So I decided to post this to get more opinions

Yes lol taken them. Typically after an accident the calipers shouldn't be effected at all unless he managed to get his wheels blown off smashing the calipers in the process.

U need conversion brackets for the front. u also need to cut the bolts shorter, or order stoptech banjo bolts. AND this kit will add a ton of negative inertia/unsprung weight.

Are there any places that sell just the brackets? I'm not really worried about the weight I don't take my car to the track but I like how BBKs look.

Not during daily driving. The brackets as shorter banjos are all u need. Be ready to cut the rear dust shields. The front shield can be hammered and bent

Yea I read that other people had to do that. You know any other parts that would be worth taking off the car?

The engine

Edit; If you can I would take the G37's 3.7FD rear differential and slap it on your g35 which currently has a 3.3/3.5FD differential.
