Sunroof glass size --- Mine just flew off!

The glass on my sunroof just flew off the other day driving down the freeway, so I'm trying to locate some replacement glass for it. Is the glass the same size on the coupe and the sedan?

The assembly for the sunroof still works fine, so I should just be able to replace the glass correct? I really do not want to have to replace the whole assembly if I don't have to.

Thanks!

Happened to me a couple years ago. Yes you can replace the glass. The sedan glass will not work. You can either get a new one, $500. or call turbo-toys, they will have used ones. Its simple to change.

Good to hear that just the glass can be replaced. I'll be calling around today to try and locate one.

I just hit a little bump on the freeway and it flew off. I didnt even really hear anything except all of sudden it sounded like someone had opened my sunroof. It was late at night when it happened so luckily there was no one behind me and the glass cleared my car. I'm guessing either some screws were loose or the adhesive was starting to give out.

This is actually pretty common.

3rd thread this year on people losing their sunroof glass. I suggest everyone give their glass a push every once in a while

Thats exactly what happened to mine. Driving around late at night with this girl. Sunroof was closed and all of a sudden it was noisy. Drove around and found it on the ground in a milion pieces lol. Thankfully it was late and no cars were behind me.

This problem, especially because this has happened to multiple people, is very intriguing. I am wondering (perhaps you guys can tell me), if you guys had similar conditions when your glass fell off. What I would like to know (just to hopefully avoid this):

Were your windows open or closed when this happened?
Were your vents (HVAC) opened or closed when this happened?
What was the outside temperature when the glass flew off?

I hate the idea that this happens; its scary as ****. And I'm hoping there's a way to prevent it.
