2 questions about my 05 g35 coupe
I have had 3 of the coupes love them! They are fast and luxury at the same time however I am having a problem with mine
I have been reading on other forums and people say it's alignment which my cars wheels is off could that cause my vdc and SLIP lights to come on? I can't activate or deactivate traction control
Next I was pulling out of the gas station yesterday (keep in mind it was not raining the road was 100% dry) my car suddenly had no control I tried pressing the break turning the wheel and nothing. It only lasted about 10 seconds but if I was driving on the interstate I could have wrecked
My brake fluid is where it should be
If anyone knows what could be causing any of the two thing please let me know
Thank you have a good day

If your tires are bald or you get into lose gravel that would make your slip lights come on when leaving a stop light. I can shut mine off but a few blocks later it comes back on. Brake issues are something else, did your pedal fall to the floor or you just couldn't slow down? My advice is always, find a independent brake/alignment shop in your area and have them check your system out. Dealerships are nothing more than parts swappers that charge to much $$ for what they're capable of!

While i agree with taking it to a specialty brake/alignment shop normally, I would disagree (to an extent) about the dealer. Dealers may be over priced, and may rip people off, but you're never gonna find as much information/knowledge about specific things (such as this) outside of the dealer. They may not have the brightest people, but they have access to a thousand times more info than anyone else. The reason dealers are often called parts swappers is because they deal with the same things day after day. When you do that, you know what you're looking for.
That being said, your alignment won't cause that. Unless you got one wheel pointing out in left field a mile out of spec with your steering wheel upside down or something along those lines, alignment won't do that.
Look at what controls the vdc and slip. What sensors does the computer use for those systems? I personally don't know offhand but I'm sure the fsm would be able to tell you (you can download that online for free if you haven't).
Assuming you didn't actually break the tires loose on acceleration, I'd look into wheel speed/abs sensors to start. Those come to mind as far as necessary sensors for those systems...
