New to the G35 and the board. Let's get started making HP

Hey guys I just picked up an '03 G35 that has minor front end damage. I'm going to fix everything but I'm also looking at performance upgrade options. Other than the crash damage the car is super clean and only has 91K miles. Only thing I'm kinda disappointed in is the auto tranny. Really wish it was a 6spd but for the $ I couldn't pass it up. So I haven't gotten much sleep since I picked this car up because I've been thinking about all the possibilities...turbo, twin turbo, supercharger, LS swap. Honestly the single turbo seems like the best bet for the $. If I can make 400-450 rwhp I think the auto trans will be fine from what I've read. I'm not gonna race the car just have some fun cruising with it. It won't be my primary car, just a sunny day fun machine. So let's hear opinions. I wanna build a fun car without breaking the bank or destroying the reliability.

You won't get that power for cheap. If you just bolt on a turbo, you'll only be able to push about 7 lbs of boost safely. You need a built motor for big power. You might be able to get 360-380, but reliability may not be so great. Others have done it, but I don't know how reliable their cars are.

I'd do it in stages if you don't want one big a$$ expenditure. Buy a built stage 1 motor, do all the bolt ons, then drop a turbo in it later.

Import Parts Pro has different stage levels for engine builds...I'd start there with Kyle.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Slap a Transgo shift kit on that tranny and you'll like it a whole lot better I promise.
