Gas mileage....?

Pretty much what I do. with reasonable driving I can get 380-miles on road trips around the 65-70mph mark.
If I REALLY drive 65 I can do (and did) 405 miles on 1 tank. (fill till it clicks and hang it up.)
You can get better gas millage in yours im sure. Plugs and a oil catch can will 'help' .. but if your like me and like to pass alot, and hoon-about... well then I get 19mpg avg on a tank and grin while doing it..

I guess I was lucky to get what I got - much of my trip was spent 75-80mph (gotta love Texas)... with the occasional 90 blast to get around some Left Lane Bandits and other mouth breathers. But usually just cruising along with the rest of the "fish"!
Did notice that the revs seemed a little higher than I'm used to - about 3000rpm @ 80mph sound about right for A/T?

That's good to know, my saab with its turbo 4 on highway trips, if I'm REALLY good at staying at 65mph, I can get up to 33-34mpg, on a 20 gal tank. but the car I had previously, a Jeep patriot with the off road package (Plus lift and off road tires) got 22mpg on a 13 gal tank. (way too small for any car to be honest) so only about 200 miles between fill ups (I don't go below 1/4 if I can avoid it. it was soooooooo annoying to have to go to the gas station all the time.

5AT RWD has a 3.3 Final Drive and the 5AT AWD uses a 3.5 final drive, so an "X" would rev a little higher at 80MPH than a RWD.
But 3K at 80MPH is about right

I'll have to investigate the Oil Catch thing... I've read about it in passing.

Yeah - I thought that there was something wrong with it when I first got it. I kept jumping off the gas, hoping that it would shift up!

But it sits 95% of the time, so I don't care.

My mental calculation (not reliable!) was putting it in the low teens!
