You would need a tune to use 87 and that's $300.

Premium 91/93 octane is what Nissan recommends, I've never used anything else...Gary

Always use 91+. That is what are cars recommend for the best out come

Always used 91. The price different between lower grade and 91 would be like less than $200 a year for me, not worth the saving IMO.

I use 89 octane. Really don't notice a difference in power or fuel economy between that or 91+ octane. Lately i've gone to 91+ octane the last 1000 miles or so for comparison. No difference at all. Sticking with 91 for a little while longer at least.

My '06 is "Premium recommended" so I don't feel bad if i grab the 89 octane nozzle. Yes, i know max performance would be with 91+. My point is I don't feel like I need to run 91+

I have 150,000 on my car...mostly running 89 octane. Car hasn't blown up yet and still runs great.

I think that gas is the reason your hood hinges went bad... Just saying.

Good think I am running 91+ now. I can install the new hinges worry free!
