wheel hop anyone????

Welp Danny and I figured we would do this and we used our cars as test mules. Mine was first and install was a little harder than we figured. Some more measurements were adjusted and we have a finished part now. Below are some pics as well as pics of my g with the bushing installed. Install will take about 3hrs. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Let me know

We will be making the rear end bushing solid as well, this is a must if you would like to drag you G, your factory bushing will eventually tear like both of ours did and create more wheel hop...

Doesn't SPL make one of these? I need to do something about the wheel hop. I feel like a tard in the burnout box, I can get it only like 50% of the time to not hop.

yes other companies make these. But we have our own machine shop and can fab our own for our local crew. 6061 aluminum isnt that expensive and the machining doesnt take long. The labor of the install is where people (shops) will get you. later mike

2. how is the noise?

3. What about the front bushings on the diff?

1. Yes I looked into buying a set of them, but I could not find a vendor that carried them.

2. With the just the rear bushing, I have not heard anything more than the exhaust tone.

3. We are going to make a set of those this week, to install... I am pretty sure this is where the most noise will come from. We are looking into making it out a few materials to test it out.

Lyndon when you try to leave the line hard the factory bushing is filled with a gel, it tears and leaks out making the factory bushing useless. This is to make sure it is solid and does not tear.

try taking off in second from a standstill. The knocking you hear fromn the back of the car is the rear gearhousing (pumkin) slapping around. These bushings eliminates all that. If you were to ever launch hard enough and had sticky enough tires the rear end wants to hop because of the bushings. People always complain about gear whine noise in the car. We are making a couple of test sets to see how bad it is. Just some mj motorsports 101 hahahha late bro mike
