wheel hop anyone????
#62
Welp I need to post this here due to the fact that several people have subscribed. I went out to the track this weekend (nscra finals) and with out thinking about track prep, I race in the same fashion I have raced previously. However for major events the track grip is phenominal. Shakedown pass I ran a 13.65@101 with a 1.97 60ft and then second pass I snapped my driver side halfshaft. I tried launching at 35-3800 rpm and the cheater slick/ bushing combo do respond well. Whats really funny is the car is N/A I wonder how many N/A's have broke like mine. No doubt in my mind that with the bushings and street slick there is no wheel hop and the car solidly planted the ground. Car has since been repaired and I will post up picks soon. later mike

There are a few places to get these from however make sure to check on the install price. To bad you are not local. For those of you who are local to the 305 and want to see some axle carnage here you go

Figured this would be the best place to post this since I dont know if danny is going to do a write up on his install. However Installing the subframe bushing on a sedan is not for the weak at heart. It is highlyHIGHLY inadvisable. Reason being is that the trunk/spare wheel well sits way to low. We will probably not do this install again. Talk soon guys

Welp Danny and I figured we would do this and we used our cars as test mules. Mine was first and install was a little harder than we figured. Some more measurements were adjusted and we have a finished part now. Below are some pics as well as pics of my g with the bushing installed. Install will take about 3hrs. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Then take a look at the coupe configuration. Notice there is no round wheel well in the way of the rear of the bushing. Sedans + plus bushing = pita!!!!!
