New Engine Build

I have been in this game a long time and know a lot of people that can tell you how to build a engine but do they really know. When my built engine took a crap from a bad oil pump I was a little mad but it gave me the chance to build a new engine. I decided to go with a engine building shop that has all the equipment you could dream of and the knowledge. I told them what I wanted and then they told me what I need for road racing. I wanted to sleeve the block but was told that the water passages are not as good in a sleeve block versus a open deck so we decided to go with the stock bore and leave the sleeves has thick as possible. Here are a few specs and pictures of the build.

JE pistons with 8.5 and 2618 T6 high tensile forged aluminum 95.5mm bore with a Ceramic/Moly Piston Coating

The new ERL Performance Main Girdle

Pauter Rods E- 4340 chrome-moly forged rod

ARP Rod Bolts
ARP Main Studs
Block redecked
Block Honed using a Torque Plate
Rotating assembly 100% balanced
Crank magnafluxed and the journals micro-polished
New Moly coated Race Spec main bearings
New Moly coated Race Spec rod bearings
ARP VQ35 L19 Head Stud torqued down to 90-95 ft/lbs

I am not looking to break any hp records I am just trying to run a good 600rwhp numbers all the time. More pictures and updates to come.

Sick brother, what shop are you using. I am going to be looking for a shop to do my build as well.

Were any of the parts from your other motor salvageable?

A group road trip to watch Mike run the car on the track after the motor build is complete might be in order.

Thanks for all the interest and support and here is the update on the intake manifold. With my old intake the torque was good in just ran out of air up top from the lack of volume, increase volume = horsepower so that's what I'm doing. I in trying to make it look like a professional welder made it but aluminum is so hard to make it look good but here's some pictures sanyway.

'Looking good. 'Wish I had the money for an engine build and boost...

By the way, it's spelled "pictures." "Pitchers" are for serving beer....... or other drinks you desire.
