Why the G Coupe and not a Z?

Okay take it from me. I own the G35- And My sister has the 350Z.
I like the G for estetics personally- The interior is much nicer than the 350Z. I think it would be hard for the Z to out handle a G considering the G has better latteral numbers. And sorry, numbers don't lie.
Don't get me wrong, The Z is a fun car. But not as comfortable- or (to me) esteticlly pleaseing. And those are NOT worth the small preformance upgrade that could be easily taken away by an intake.
For some reason Infiniti made the Coupe an inch higher than the Z's. Personally- I don't mind, Living where I do (florida) for some reason theres a lot of dips dives and speed bumps, the first time i took my sisters Z out, I got a nice beauty scratch on the front bumper.
Don't be afraid to search, plunty of threads on this.

The G isn't that much more luxurious than the Z and in many respects the Z outhandles the G.

(i) The G has a longer and wider stance which really helps with overall stability on the road. The Z had been criicized by car mags that it is too ubnstable/twitchy on the edge due to its short narrow wheelbase.
(ii) the +2 seats help. Something will always come up that will require you to have 2 extra passengers.
(iii) the +2 seats are supposed to decrease your insurance payment too.
(iv) the g just looks better imo
(v) to get a z with similar features as the G 6spd coupe you will have to pay about the same money

Backseat is a plus even if you don't have anyone to put back there. Two seat car is cramped.
Usually you can get Z shocks and springs for cheap because Z's are selling them after buying a new set. But that is not always the case.
Some of us like the looks of the G more than the Z. Vise versa.
All comes down to what YOU like really. I was looking at Z's first but always wanted a G more. Was looking at the Z's because they were slightly less expensive.

Infiniti made the Coupe higher because it is not a pure sports coupe. It is luxury/sports coupe.
