Well I was tired of waiting for the 05 connectors. This would have made it easier but I couldn't wait and soldered the 03/04 connectors I took off of a gauge cluster I purchased on Ebay(my original gauge cluster is untouched) directly to the 05 cluster I purchased off Ebay as well.
Tore apart the dash this morning and plopped in the 05 gauges. Pics are attached. Everything responds correctly, RPM, fuel gauge, temp meter, etc. Hazards, turn signals, VDC on/off, hi beams, door open/close, seat belt, hand brake, etc. all function properly!!!!! Trip computer looks as though it works as well.
There a few things, most noticeable is the mileage issue. This cluster has under 8k miles and my car has 45k. Also, this gauge set most likely is from an auto and the "Service Engine Soon" and "AT Check" warning lights are on. My car is a 6-speed. I have some ideas as to how to fix both issues.
Also, I purchased another tinted plastic cover for the gauges because the trip computer plunger was not in the same location as the 03/04 gauges. This new cover DOES NOT fit with the 03/04 gauge cluster. I'll show more pics of this later.
