Exclamation GT Motorsports: G37S VHRTT, GTM HR Turbo Kit, FCon VPro, Stock Block Testing

With much anticipation we have finally made some time to work on our GTM TT G37S. These are preliminary numbers at just 8 psi of boost, very impressed so far to say the least. We are making good power on the top end with a flat torque thanks to the VVEL, although it can be tricky to work with, we have overcome quite a few challenges (with the help of the CONSULT III) to keep the car happy and make everything work well together.

We will keep posting more updates as time permits, looks like you guys will be seeing a 600rwhp stock block GTM TT VQ37VHR pretty soon here

Specs:
2008 Infiniti G37S Coupe

VQ37VHR w/ VVEL
Completely Stock Block
Blitz SBC Boost Controller
850cc Denso Injectors
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
JWT FMU
HKS FCon VPro Standalone EMS
GReddy EVO TT exhaust
Innovate Dual LC-1 wideband feedback
GTM HR Prototype Twin Turbo System featuring:
-Dual Core, Bar & Plate Intercooler
-Twin Garret GT2861RS Water cooled Ball Bearing Turbos
-Twin 38mm TiAL external waste gates
-3" Down Pipes
-Mandrel Bent Stainless Steel turbo piping

8 PSI, 93 Octane

Overlay of stock power vs. stock block twin turbo power:

Rod Comparison, from left to right: HR Rod, VHR Rod, and DE rod. As you can see the VHR has the strongest rod, we have already made 568rwhp but had to stop due to a coupler popping off and boost controller issue. We feel this engine will take 600rwhp no problem.

A few pictures of the project:

Update: 3/4/2008 - New dyno video

Clutch Slipping:

Did some more tuning on the car today, we are currently at 549 rwhp with 502rwtq and the stock clutch started to slip, we were hoping to break the 600rwhp mark, so far the car has demonstrated awesome performance in all aspects, very stable, and very responsive to boost. All these runs and boost have not seemed to phase the car in any shape or form, we will confirm when we tear down the engine. Since the clutch will have to be replaced at this point, we are going to proceed to the second phase of testing (4.5L Stroked N/A high compression engine) we will see what we can get out of the engine in N/A form with no boost. After that we will test our 4.5L Stroked turbo car with twin Garret GT35R's and some other goodies

Would it be hard to drop in the 37VHR into a older G35? Cheaper just to go with a GTM Stroker kit(Assuming we could get a G37 Block for ~$2k)?

Very good news. This means you can basically achieve 420-450RWHP very safely with just a bolt-on TT kit! G37 Sedan, here I come!

I haven't really had the time to keep up on any of this stuff, but the hr and vhr rods looks pretty simular. How much stronger are the rods in the vhr vs the hr? Has there been a successful turbo set up put on the vq35hr motor? How much did the stock internals handle?

How does the transmission compare to the g35 or 350z transmissions is it safe to run that much power on a stock tranny?
