MechEE please post your documents that state the X50 is better. I see a ton that the V1 is better. Why do you think the V1 is so damn popular? I know many owners who even had the X50 and got the V1 instead and sold the X50 at a loss!

You guys are attacking a guy that has facts backing his statements because you guys think your opinion the X50 is better when in tests it isn't.

I have no false alarms... lol The older V1 did have false alarms, the last two revisions do not.

The X50 can't be upgraded. They say you can, but like Radar King said, once you try, you can't! Give it a try see what happens.

Sounds are perfect. I can definitely tell the difference between X-K-KA especially. Laser is obvious.

Too bad for you. You got one that will never be worth anything. My opinion compared to my friends X50 the V1 is just better made. He even thinks so as well. That is why I am usually the lead car, the v1 picks up the cops earlier.

 

Sad....tests prove the V1 is better. Your opinion means nothing here. I did a lot of research and bought the best one. And I have been happy since.

 

Right and that is why the V1 is the highest rated radar among forums.

God dam* would you stop attacking people? I mean geez, for someone who lectures me on attacking people and lectures others on attacking people, you sure enjoy doing it yourself. MechEE never said your opinion didn't count, he never even commented on YOU, yet you say shi* like this. MechEE is a great resource to this board, let alone this forum. His knowledge in electronics (just to name one) is outstanding. I'm sure he's a great guy outside of these boards too, he definately conveys that to me at least. His opinion means more to more people on here then you obviously are aware of.

I am going to lodge a formal complaint about your attitude on here, because this has just become ridiculous. You have continually ruined each and every radar detector discussion with comments like this, and I refuse to 1.) play these games any longer with you 2.) sit back idley and allow threads to be consistantly ruined by anyone. I'm sorry you feel that you have to defend your purchase of your V1 so religiously. I'm sorry you reduce to attacking people. I might be off base here, but that's why there are moderators... we'll let them decide. If they have problems with me I'll take it in stride and go from there as well.

As for this thread, I'd love to see it conitnue sans personal attacks. It's a GOD DAM* RADAR DETECTOR FOR CHRIST SAKE... Just keep that in mind.

I never attacked anyone in this topic unlike yourself. Facts are facts and you or anything else can't deny that. The V1 has been the best and still is the benchmark for radars. The X50 comes damn close.

It is kinda like BMW is the benchmark for handling but the G35 comes close.

Funny, I actually talk to many outside this forum and they think otherwise about Mech.

G35_TX...again you repeat yourself and completely miss the point. I said from personal testing I like the escort better and returned the V1 I had purchased. Then you reply with "tests prove it to be better"...I don't give a f**k what the test prove, disprove, show, etc etc...I tested out both and that is what I like.

My comments actually have more merit than yours considering I owned both and you didn't. All you have is the test results of people who have biased opinions because they are trying to sell their products. I could care less, and therefore have an unbiased opinion in the matter. The escort is my 3rd detector and from personal experience I like it more. I never said the V1 was bad or that it was less accurate/superior/effective, but I didn't like some of its features. Read my first post in this thread and you'll see.

But you keep coming at us like the V1 is the ultimate detector that can't be beat...only based on biased tests from people who sell them. I never came on here attacking anybody and said that all three (Bel, Escort, and V1) were good and that anyone you pick is a good choice. You're the one that keeps coming at everyone and attacking them.

So don't keep repeating yourself and calling my opinion unwarranted. I have every right to talk about my experience with both products, as much as you have every right to talk about your experience only with the V1. Like I said before, my opinions and experiences are more credible since I have owned both.

I'm glad you did your little research and are happy with your V1...good for you. I did my own research too. And I'm happy with what I got. Now respect me and my opinions and leave me the F**K ALONE!!!

In terms of pure detection, I would think the top detectors would all be extremely close. Some might be better in some instances, some might be better in others. However, for me, the two biggest question to ask when radar(s) is/are detected is:

1) How strong is the radar?
2) Where is it coming from?

Unfortunately, the only detector I found that could answer both questions is the V1. From my using the V1, I can honestly say that once you have the arrows, u will never go back. Hope this helps.

 

I suggest you look what yourself on what your typing. Because 3 of you attacked Radar King like your X50 is the best RADAR out. I know the X50 is good, but it is still slightly better than the X50. You can't deny the reviews and tests. But in your opinion you like the X50. That is great and in mine I love my V1. But we need to make sure we split the opinion from test results/fact. Fact V1 is the best radar out there in tests. Opinion X50 you like better.

I also owned the 8500 was supposely better per users but it really was not. But the X50 per what I heard didn't get that much better over the 8500.

 

You know, I have a V1, and I love it, and I do think it is overall the best detector out there.

But fanboy type postings and "V1 is the best!!! EOD!!!" type postings really **** me off. If I wasn't already a V1 owner, those type of posts would probably convince me not to get one. So, unless that is actually your purpose, G35_TX, and RadarKing, maybe it's time to lay off a bit.

Please tell the X50 fan boys to lay off saying there detector is the best. That is what started this mess. Like I said in my other posts. Facts are facts and opinion is a opinion. Don't get them mixed up.

 

Thank you...finally a V1 owner with common sense in this thread. Exactly the point I was trying to make. The V1 is not a bad detector. If you have one I think you made a good choice. Its ONE of the top performers. Its just not for everybody.

G35_TX, you keep saying the facts speak for themselves...the fact is, you never tried the X50...you only heard it wasn't that good...from bias sources. The fact is you have little experience with the different products...all you know about is the V1 and hence are as bias as the sources you keep refering too. I have very little patience dealing with stubborn people who create conflict from nothing.

I never even questioned the performance of the V1, except noted that it was a little too sensitive for me and falsed more than I like. Other than that all of my comments have related to its features. Yet you keep coming with "V1 is the best...V1 is superior...V1 is the greatest thing ever made...etc" You should try reading through my comments clearly before making any more claims and assumptions.

I'm glad there are some people here with common sense to understand where I'm coming from, whether they have a V1, escort or anything else.

 

Again, read my posts clearly...I prefer the X50, I did not claim it was the best...my hands are getting tired from typing the same thing over and over...I'm going to start cutting and pasting my comments like RadarKing does

Around here you better still slow down. Cops set up speed traps on highway onramps all the time and hit you from behind. They will also creep up on you from behind at a distance.
