It is interesting that he admits on this forum that the V1 does pick up everything and their brother. And, unfortunately for most people, the more a radar detector goes off the less likely the driver is to actually slow down. No one wants to slow down every 1500'. Superiority is not gained in alert quantity, it is gained in alert accuracy. Notice I haven't said ANYTHING about ANY other radar detector in comparison here. Simply commenting on the V1 and RadarKing's inconsistency and admittal to the problem everyone on here is complaining about regarding the V1 (that he has been trying to deny).

As the Radar Roy's Radar Detector Rumble tests show, the new Beltronics RX65 performed as well as the Escort 8500 X50 and both have been awarded Radar Roy's Five Badge Rating!
Could it be that both are virtually the same detector, as Escort had bought out Beltronics two years ago and now both companies are under the same ownership? We think so!
The testing also showed that the Bel RX65 and the Escort 8500 X50 performed as well, and in some cases better then the more expensive Valentine 1 radar detector.

Dont' worry. They are about to discredit RadarRoy. "He doesn't sell V1 so he wouldn't rate it high." Or "he has beef with Valentine." They like to be selective in who they say is reputable and fair and who isn't. It's fascinating. I wish all "science", "tests" and "objective analysis" worked like this. I'm getting so good at this, I think I can argue for them.

Since escort and bel are the same now, couldn't they incorporate that feature into the X50.
