You might be able to use the coupe unit if you hack the tubing and move it sideways. You'd have to extend one outlet pipe along the muffler to bring it along the other outlet to make it look like a stillen or Borla dual.

^Yeah Ive considered that, but just eyeballing it, it doesnt look like it would fit. You think it would fit in there sideways?

Will a single exit exhaust from a coupe fit a sedan? Im still trying to find a way to make my sedan sound like the coupe.

And for reference, I've tried coupe mid, 05 mid, 05 stock muffler, 03 stock muffler, res-delete, race muffler in place of res... all the small stuff (My poor piping looks like Frankensteins monster). I dont want to move my evap, and even then a coupe muffler wouldnt really work. Of all the exhaust's available for the sedan the MD VQ is my favorite, and of course its discontinued. I know the HKS is everyone's favorite but I dont think its $300-400 different than my current setup. Ive said it before, but how the hell can the sedan and coupe sound so different? And not just stock, the aftermarket offerings as well.
Where i got my exhaust done the tech there said they've run dual pipes on 1st and 2nd gen sedans. it was just a matter of bending the pipes to get the dual exit and adding the appropriate mufflers and resonators to achieve a deep tone like the coupes. i thought about it and i got quoted at like $685 to $745 depending on the tips i chose.

^ I'd have to hear one of their custom jobs before I'd consider that kind of money. Did you have them build you a custom setup?

SD-GENIUS AND PNN23, post up vids driving in motion already!!! I got sick and tired of just hearing revs. You guys got the sickest exhaust combination thus far.

^ Mark has a video in motion. And I think 3truman's MD VQ sounds a little better than mine as he doesn't run the HFC attachment.

Maybe I can get one up this weekend if I can wrangle someone to hold the camera and get to a secluded/safe spot. It's hard to get something done like that in my neighborhood as there's cops everywhere & I stay low-pro as much as possible around them. Do not want to draw any extra attention and a possible $1k+ ticket plus impound.

Those both sound purrrdy. Its funny - I was just thinking I'll either have to piece together a MD system as or if I find them for sale, or a custom job with some quality Borla mufflers.

I opted out at the time because the price was a little too steep for the current situation i had going..however they had the custom set up mapped out for me.
It was a magnaflow x-pipe going into two separate cats then two seperate pipes exiting on the left side of the rear bumper. The cats also doubled as the muffler so all you see at the end is the tips and the pipe, no muffler.
