I am guessing he went to Maple Shade and that is why he paid a premium.

These rims with new tires are valuable, but OEM tires are usually brands that are not too desireable. Most folks wisely replace the brands with an upgrade tire which adds real value to a set. You could remove the tires and sell them to some Honda idiot who thinks they are gold, but to the G35 crowd they are blah. The 17" tires that were on the coupe were absolute junk, as were the Bridgestones off the 350z and some G35s. Combined, the Goodyear RSA and RE040 drone at high speeds and have crappy wear.
These sets have sold for well under 1000. The pecking order has changed; our 18" rims used to command the range that the 19" now do. Now the 18s are close to 500-650 a set, and the 17s are less than 350 a set.

If you do get someone for $1000 take it and run...

I am sure the only reason I got $1500 FOR MINE WAS BECAUSE THEY CAME OFF 2 DAYS AFTER I TOOK DELIVERY OF THE CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP.
YOU CAN EXPECT LESS BECAUSE YOU HAVE 5K OF TIRE WEAR, BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FETCH $1200 with the buyer paying shipping.

Yeah, maples shade infiniti is probably the worst infiniti dealership on the planet..as well as worst car dealership. They are lying MO FO's and expect you to pay them for them to lie to you. Service department there? more like bend over and take it up the a$$ department. NEVER do business with them period.
