AVIC Z1 Overheats Easy in my G35. Anybody Else with this problem?

Being that there is really no ventilation behind the dash for the Z1. When the temp gets hot it stays frozen on the start up screen. This never happened in my previous car which was a 05 Altima. I'm assuming its really tight behind the dash and it prevents circulation in the G. Does anybody else have this problem? Its very annoying

mine has frozen up before, but i dont think it was because of heat. Its happened 2 times. The first time, I parked the car and the next time I had to leave it worked fine. the second time i had to press the reset button but it changes the majority of the presets back to default. check out www.avic411.com they should be able answer all of your questions.

Are you selling your AVIC Z1? if not why did you post this message here? it should be in the Tech area if your not selling it.

Mine freezes when its cold ...seriously no joke. Then when it warms up its ok. Alternatively when its a hot or warm day , it starts up normal.

And yea... definitely wrong section to post this in.

Thanks for the replies. There are so many sub forums on this site I end up always posting in the wrong area. Sorry for those trying to sell a Z1 lol.
