Looks shiny.. I'd take this if I wasn't used to paying dirt cheap for brand new parts..

 

I'll say that your price is a bit high, not because I'm being an a-hole but just to help you move the HKS. You can get new ones Shipped for 1250, so maybe lower your price since they have 3-5K miles on them? I know you wrote OBO but thought I give you a heads-up.

 

I do know that is (has been) the price for a new one shipped, offered by one of the vendors.
I'm not sure if they're selling below the lowest possible price they're supposed to be selling (which is set by HKS)... but for a very clean condition one, I think 1100 (OBO) is fair enough. I have no need to rush the sale in any way, so I'm asking 1100, but other offers will be considered as well.

I've seen more than enough HKS Hi-Power exhausts being sold on forums and almost every one of them has some kind of "Vendor sells them new for $12?? shipped!"
I left the same comments on other peoples' HKS sale posts a while back. Many times they do get sold at asking price or somewhere very close to it. There's always someone wanting to save a hundred dollars or two. Sometimes, 1100 is all they have. In the end, someone wanting to buy at price they're willing to pay will turn up or, if the seller's wanting to sell asap, they'll usually drop the price.
If my asking price doesn't work for you, no problem... If nobody wants to buy the exhaust at the current price, you can let me worry about the exhaust selling or not.

If you check around, the exhaust sells for $1400~1500 average. I am aware of the $1250 shipped price offered by a vendor, but just because one or two vendors sell at a low price, doesn't mean everyone else has to drop the prices. It's their bad if they're not making the sale.. but I'm sure there's a reason behind it if they continue to sell at their initial price tag.

Also, reducing the price by roughly 10% for an item that's mint condition with 3-4k miles on, is fair in my opinion. It's even more than 10% if you look at the average price of other vendors. If you had your car for 3~4K miles... and you paid $40,000... You decide to sell it and you ask $36,000 (10% cheaper)... what would you say to someone saying "Hey, that's too expensive man... I can buy a new one for 40k..."
I'll tell you something which will most likely be the same thing you'll be saying back to that guy. "Then go buy yourself a new one. I never asked you to buy mine and nobody's certainly stopping you from doing so."

Also, if you saw the OBO next to the price, I don't understand why you even said all that in the first place.
I highly doubt that you were actually replying with the intention of "just trying to help" or "give heads up."
I'm not sure if you ever heard of it but uhm... this would be the situation to use the phrase... " my a*s..."
Oh and in case you didn't know, OBO means "Or Best Offer".

 

I have seen the exhaust in person and it is absolutely immaculate. I am really particular about detail and I have to tell you that I went over this exhaust top to bottom and it is absolutely flawless. suhochunsah is a very good guy and his prices have always been fair. Plus if you read carefully, he is selling this for a friend so he has no control on price. He is just selling what his friend is asking for it.

BTW...if you haven't noticed, he is a really passionate guy so don't be intimidated by his posts. He really is very nice. LOL
