??Who has shipped wheels??
make sure the boxes will fit the rim + tire. i bought 4 24x24x12 boxes and they just barely fit my 19's..just fyi. your shipping shouldn't cost much considering they're 17's. i spent $400+ to ship my wheels out from Hawaii to Nevada.

I recently shipped (4) 17" winter tires and wheels using the cardboard cutout and strechwrap method...details here: http://www.x5world.com/articles/x5/w...ires-rims.html
Each one was about 50 lbs each and cost me $80 total to ship 350 miles via FedEx

I just shipped my 20s with tires the other day. Bought 14x14x14 box, don't make it into a box, just cut it in halves the way it comes. covered the face of the wheels, tape it up so the cardboard box won't move. tape it up real good or seran wrap it. and I sent it from LA to Sacramento for around $120 dollars with insurance. Bought a roll of tape for $3, bought the boxes(4) for $12 dollars. FEDEX is the way to go, very cheap and safe. UPS rapes you on charges. USPS is just a joke. Greyhound is too much of a hassle. USE FEDEX FOR SHIPPING WHEELS

i was the one he sent his rims to. dirty *** rims were suppossed to be flawless and for the most part were. except a little curb rash on one wheel. he tells me hes gonna get boxes for them but i guess he ment cutting the boxes and semi covering the wheels with cardboard and a plastic bag. if you ship to your buyers like this, atleast tell them how you are to doing it. he also quoted me 200 bucks because he wants to take care of the wheels and insurance costs so much. but i guess it only cost him 120.
one more thing, the wheels he sold to me he guaranteed they fit. guess what, the wheels dont even fit on my car. now he wont return calls, texts or PMs
shady as fvck...
As far as shipping goes, it cost 120 plus insurance was extra. I said 120 with insurance not 120 INCLUDING in surance. Insurance was extra 15. Boxes and tapes were 15. So let's do the math here. so total here is $150 and my time and gas to make trips to the FedEx office is easily worth $50 more dollars. And the shipping wasn't half assed. That is how wheel is supposed to be shipped. Tirerack ships them that way, every other wheel companies ship them that way. There's no box that will fit 20inch wheels with tires at a reasonable cost. It just wouldn't make sense.
BUYER should be responsible for researching fitment not the sellers. The wheels were from a G35 coupe as stated. THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE and nothing was promised or implied ON ANYTHING. ESPECIALLY the fitment. The items were described best to knowledge as accurate as possible since offset was unknown due to the wheel company never releasing them.
