I have a 06 stock bose head unit plus ipod adapter, basically the adapter does charge the ipod, and you can control the ipod on your head unit, also can control the ipod on your steering wheel too!

as for the bose head unit i bought the ipod adapter when i have 15,000 miles, afterward i start using the ipod, cause CD/MP3 is slower than ipod. =)

FYI,PAC IPOD is not trunk mounted btw... I think some people in here think it's the OEM one that's mounted in the trunk. If I am mistaken, I apologize.
