FS: LOUD Fiamm Horns

These came off an E38 BMW (750 to be exact between the years of 1987 - 1995). They are made in Italy and get extremely loud. Great to replace the low volume ones on the G's. I was going to use them but one pair is loud enough, and I don't need 2 pairs.

I will have pics up later tonight. Price is $40 shipped OBO.

Here are pics:

It's very simple to install. You remove the front grill, take off the old horns and simply plug in the wires from the original horns into the new ones. However, the plastic around the plug on these horns may have to be cut in order for the plugs from the OEM wiring to fit. Unless you want to cut the original wires and connect the ones that are on the horn to them. I'd recommend cutting off the plastic on the horn where the plugs go and plug in original horns. I would also recommend using the stock brackets since they are shaped a tad differently with a slight bend. Simple as taking off a bolt from both horns and swapping.

Sound clips will have to wait for now since it is raining. I don't have any space in the garage and don't want to work on something electrical in the rain. I will also do a comparison of the OEM horns compared to these horns.

I just got done doing the sound clips. Apparently one of my OEM horns is not working as it should. It works by itself no problem, but when connected with the other horn it does not function properly.

Anyhow, I have recorded several sound clips.

This first one is of the low note of the OEM horn.

This second one is the low note of the FIAMM horn.

This third one is the high now of the FIAMM horn.

And this fourth one is both FIAMM horns.

Listening to the sound clips on my computer the FIAMM low not doesn't sound much louder than the OEM. In person, the FIAMM had a deeper tone and was a tad louder. These horns were actually much louder when connected to the battery. If you could find a way to connect the horns directly to the horn wiring and bypassing the fuse that attenuates the horn for some reason, it would be much louder.

Since I can't verify the sound of both OEM horns together, I don't want to mislead anyone. These horns are loud and in my opinion louder than the OEM, from what I can remember (before this set I had some Cadillac horns and I've had those for a while). A nice perk of these horns is that it has a nice Italian sound to them.

For anyone who is local, you can feel free to check them out and we can try it out on your vehicle before you even purchase.
