FS: retrofit parts for 03-05 coupe headlights

I'm cleaning out the garage, since I don't plan on taking on anymore headlight work.

First is a pair of TSX projectors already mounted onto 03-05 coupe low beam reflectors. So if you want to upgrade your 03-05 lights, 90% of the work is already done for you with this. I also modded the shields to make the cutoff sharper. That process took me about 3 months. The bezels are polished tin sheets and HIDplanet chrome bezels. Asking $220 shipped OBO. Local pickup in socal 310 area is fine.

Next is a pair of 03-05 signal buckets with the amber already removed and replaced with clears. This will save you about 2-3 hours of time minimum if you're going to clear these yourself. **sold

I've never messed with sedan lights, but I'm guessing that it will not bolt right on for sedans. You could always remove the coupe reflector, and just use the TSX projectors.

Projectors still available?

What remaining work needs to be done to complete the retrofit?

Yes, projectors still available. Several people asked the same question, so here goes.

you'll need to remove your headlights, obviously, and open them up. If you've done this before, you know it takes about 30 minutes going at a slow pace.

You'll need to trim the bezel with a dremel. I might have one of the bezels left, so I could ship it with the projectors for an extra $10 to cover shipping on a bigger box. Then you'd know exactly where to trim. This should take no more than 30 minutes.

You'll need to trim or shave a one or two areas on the metal bracket. this is to avoid the lock nuts hitting the bracket. With a reinforced cutoff wheel, this will take 30 minutes, again, going at a slow pace. 5 minutes if you work fast.

Then seal everything back up and you're pretty much done. Obviously reaim the lights. But I ran this setup for 4 years, and it was definitely aimable to factor specs, with plenty of margin for further up/down aiming. But the rotational and horizontal aiming is already done.

shane, I still have the plugs. I'll be at the South Bay meet this thursday if you want to meet up then.

If you're using these as the low beam projectors in replacing the D2R reflector, then the only difference is the use of a D2S bulb rather than D2R. Otherwise there's absolutely no difference in wiring/electronics. The projectors are just physical housings. They don't have any electronics in them, so nothing is changed.

I did the clears with overhead light sheets from Home Depot.

Here are pics of these projectors when I had them on my previous quad setup:

You can see how sharp they were. Much more than stock 06 projectors.

Alignment was very good.

Plenty of color.
