The license has been reinstalled on the cable and ready to go for any 2004+ (some 2003). You can tune the car yourself. This is not just a tune, this is the actual tune software. It comes with Cipher as part of the package. You may download the latest software from UPREV.com instead of installing it from the CD as I recommend that.

Osiris Tuner

The Osiris Tuner system includes Cipher, Map Switching, the flash utility and our powerful, new 2.0 ROM Editor. Osiris Tuner supports NA applications and high horse power forced induction vehicles. Using the an HPX MAF and 1000cc injectors we have tuned for over 550whp on the G35.
Osiris Tuner is a licensed based system. The purchase of Osiris Tuner includes one license that will be transferred to the first ECU that is flashed. This vehicle can then be flashed as many times as the user wants, but the flash will not work on any different vehicles.
Osiris Tuner does not include any base maps or eTunes, the user is expected to develop their own tune for their vehicle using the stock ROMS included in the software package. Paid technical support can be found through UpRev’s Pro Tuners or through purchasing eTunes.

Okay, this may be a stupid question, but how did you put the license back on the cable? You have stated in your post the same thing that is posted on uprev.com:

Per Jared at UPREVs email, he said when you flash the ECU back to stock it also puts the license back on the cable.

Right. Once it's on the vehicle at that time, you can't till you remove it off that vehicle like I did.

Yep, just flash that ROM. It will put the ECU back to stock, and put the license back onto the cable so that it is ready for the next vehicle.

how bout selling just the cable?

 

Was it already tuned to your mods or it needs to be tuned?

 

That's what you are paying for is the cable where the license is. As the software is free.

 

It's the tuner software. This is what places like UPREV, Z1, and all of them use when tuning your car. You get the full tuning package where you can take it to any tuner that you like and have him tune your car for you. There are no included tunes from my car.

 

I have a 2003 (made 12/2002)...would this work? If I bought this from you, would I then be able to send my mods to UPREV to get the tune.....please explain the process....

 

They said some early 2003s would not work. You might want to give UPREV a call to know for sure.

Would love to sell it to you, but I also don't want you to buy something that may not work.

This is the full tuner, you don't even have to contact UPREV, you can have a tuner in your area use the software and tune your car.

 

early 03 sedans with doggy door trunks can't use the software..that's the only limitation I know of.

Congrats on the sell...you offered it at a good price. I would have picked it up but I just didn't know enough about the license.
