just FYI, you could get resistors at partsexpress.com very cheap...pack of 10 resistors for $2.34 shipped USPS.

 

i'm glad this works out for the side curtains (whew). what about the seat belts and steering wheel?

 

i think it all is the same.

i bought some resistor/fuse assembly from works bell. all of themmmmmmmm carry the same resistor value as well as fuse rating.

both worked in the steering wheel as well as my passenger seat.

not sure what you mean by seat belts???

 

there are airbag hook-ups on the front seatbelts as well. i will be running a harness so i was going to remove the passenger seat belt (since the passenger seat is gone) and keep the driver's side when i have to drive it to/from the track.

finally got my car back....gonna slowly get back on to the track. not a serious as you though nick.

having problems with the reset procedure. it looks like i'm getting the code for the LH AND RH air bag module circuit at the same time .

i removed both front seats, both curtain air bags, and the RH seatbelt. i put a 2.2ohm resistor in each. it seems i am making good contact on all resistors (i bent the leads and pushed them in with a needle nose). any ideas?

FYI - i have an '04.

*EDIT i took resistance readings on the pre-tensioner (seat belt) and it looks like it only needs a 0.3 ohm resistor.

 

i was throwing the code for the RH curtain bags, but i removed the resistor and bent the leads, and stuck it back in. i tried that a few times with the seats, but it doesn't work. hmmm.....

 

disregard previous two posts...i'm an idiot. apparently, when you put the resistors in, you have to put it in the smaller holes, not the bigger ones me being mr. smarty pants thought that it was all the same...and that i just wasn't getting it in there all the way.

after a couple of HOURS of expletive after expletive, i figure i didn't have anything to lose and gave it a shot. lo and behold

also, just to let all know, the 2.2ohm resistor will NOT work on the seat belts. (i guess you guys figured that out when i said the resistance was only 0.3ohms anyway )

 

i will be tryingthis soon. will the air bag light come on even if i have the battery disconnected during this whole process.?

from my understanding, as long as you don't turn the key when you unplug the harness and put the resistor in, the light won't come on.

 

thats good because i am to lazy to do the reset procedure. lol

 

had the same thing happen with the seat. after about the 4th try, decided to try the other hole and voila, it reset the first time.

 

okay, so now i am trying this with the seat belts. there is a yellow plug that plugs into the pre-tensioner. if you unplug this, the SRS light will flash. so i took a resistance reading of the pre-tensioner and it indicated 0.2 ohms. i soldered some resistors together to get a resistance of 0.2 ohms, plugged it in, and i still get the SRS light. anyone have any ideas?
