Do a search. This has been covered more extensively than probably any other topic on this forum. Search keywords: Valentine, V1, Escort, Bell, 8500, X50, radarking is a turd

This thread should be stopped before its becomes a flaming war. There are about 3 15 page long threads on this. Basically there are 3 good radar detectors:

1) Bel rx65
2) escort passport x50
3) valentine one

the Bel and the escort are pretty much the same thing (made by the same company) except the Bel has voice capabilities. They are also about the same price ~250 bucks on ebay.

The valentine is also very good and it has arrows that tell you which direction the radar is coming from. Some think this is helpful while others think its pointless. Personally, I dont think its a big deal. The valentine costs about ~350 bucks on ebay.

You cant go wrong with any of them. If you have extra cash then go with the valentine since it has the most features. If you wanna spend a little less then get the escort or Bel.

For more info about the valentine, escort and Bel you can go to

http://www.radarbusters.com/support/...05/Default.asp

And one more thing...dont take any advice from radarking hes a complete tool.

My best friend is my Passport 8500 x50. Virtually no false alarms. When this baby goes off - hit the brakes.

i don't understand what these do. they pick up only radar signals? so thats only when the cop is using the radar gun? or does it pick up the signal even if the cop isn't using the gun and is just in the area?

How rude. Yes they pick up the radar signal. Yes the patrol car must be transmitting. On flat ground my 8500 X50 will warn me at ranges of over 8 miles. Most cops in my area leave them on all the time. Only the State Troopers zap you. I haven't has a ticket (knock on wood) in over 6 years. BTW, which one you get is up to you, they all are so close, it comes down to a few feet difference.

Go ahead RadarKing, do your thing.

The Whistler Pro Series ranks well for a lot less money.
I have a Pro 73 that is pratically new that I am selling.
I just installed a DE3500 Remote Detector.
See radarbuster_._com for radar test results.

It's really not cool to dig up multiple old threads to link to something you are selling.
