PAC TR-7 Module Used to Turn Off VDC

I got in the habit of getting in the G and always turning off the VDC (except in rainy conditions). Not a big deal. Not a major inconvenience but I always wished the VDC was off by default. KP Technologies makes a module that remembers the state of the VDC button and I'm sure that product works perfectly. I did find a slightly cheaper alternative that acomplishes pretty much the same thing. The PAC TR-7 modules performs a million and one functions. One of which (version 17) is to send a pulse X number of seconds after seeing a trigger. It's a simple 4-wire hook-up and took me about 10 minutes. Now, five seconds after I start the car, the VDC is turned off automatically. If conditions outside are rainy, I have to turn it back on but I live in sunny So. Cal. so those days are few and far between. The TR-7 does not remember the state of the button but is about $24 shipped and the KP module is $40 + shipping.

No, it just changes the default to OFF instead of ON. If you want the VDC on, you just need to press the VDC button when you start the car. It is much more convenient for me because I'd only have to turn it on a couple of dozen times a year when it rains.

No, I use the KP-Tech version which remembers the setting (off or on)

I keep mine off all the time because the Stillen stage 4 has so much torque VDC kicks in when I give it more than 30% throttle in 1st and 60-70% in second, even with 275/30/20's on the rear. Don't get me wrong, the system works great with the stock configuration of the car.
