installing factory nav. question

installing factory nav. question

hello have a few questions...i have an 05 g35 and dont have the navigation in my car...can i install a stock 05 navigation system and it just plugs and plays? sorry im a retard when it comes to these things....

No you cant, the car has to be prewired from the factory.It would be too expensive(not worth it) to do it. I would recommend going with a double din.

yes u can but will cost over 2grand to do. someone here did it a year i ago if i recall. u have to get the parts and the the whole behind the dash wiring harness which cost about 1k itself.

no way. i bought a $500 magellan system for my gf's civic when we took a road trip down to LA in her car last month. those systems are a POS compared to the '06 nav system. no street pronunciations, limited lookup methods, directions aren't very good, the screen is tiny, etc etc.

i don't think the nav system is worth $1800 on its own, but it's certainly worth it integrated IMO.
