NAV Problem

Hi All,

My NAV stopped working right about the same time I installed the Grounding Kit...though it must be a sick coincidence, I just wanted to see if there was any way, shape or form that the grounding kit would interfere...why you ask? B/C the dealer will try and blame it on something...

Oh, I just got the Valentine One...it Rocks...and along the same lines...is there any way the dealer can blame that on the NAV acting up?

If dealers weren't scum bags I would never even be thinking this way, but I have to take all of the excuses away.

The NAV boot up...says it's waiting...and then never comes on...or goes to a blakc screen. It's not the DVD or the weather outside either. It does this 8 out of 10 times I start the car up.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Re: NAV Problem

Doesn't sound like a power/ground problem which is the only reasonable connection to your grounding kit and V1 install. Rather, it sounds like a DVD spin-up error (spindle motor) or some other similar issue.

Re: NAV Problem

Grounding kit and V1 is not the problem. I agree with SoCalTed, reinsert the DVD.

Re: NAV Problem

I have been ejecting and reinserting it...that is the only way to get it to come on, but this should never be necessary. I am hoping it's within the DVD player as suggested. It goes under the knife on Monday...so I will keep you posted.
