Baffle the sedan woofer?
Baffle the sedan woofer?
Decided to do a bit of a sound upgrade, started as a deadening project and has now expanded to include comp fronts, deadening all around, new sub for the rear deck and an eD NINe.4 driving the comps and sub.
I'd like a 4080 box but really need the space in my trunk, so I'm replacing the stock sub with an ID 8" that supports IB. I'm going to cover the rear seat/deck area with a generous amount of eDead and plan to do the same with the trunk (as much for overall noise reduction as anything else).
Should I drop the sub into a speaker baffle, or just drop it without and go..? I'm going to go ahead and baffle the comps in the doors (I sorta forgot to order them and was too anxious to wait
) but wasn't sure if baffling the sub was a good or bad idea.
I'd think it was a good idea, but I really don't want to put everything back together before I learn I was wrong, then have to pull it all apart again.
Thanks!
Brian
