cd player acting funny

The cd player gives me a strange error when I try to turn it on (can't remember what it says), and each time I start the car it makes a strange noise for a while and stops. Everything else on the radio works, just not the cd player. Anyway, I'm taking it to the dealer but they said it may or may not be covered under warranty and I don't want to be surprised.

My wife thinks she put a cd-rw in there and said that's when it started doing this. None of the disks will come out either.

Any ideas??

thanks

Well as long as your car is under warranty I don't see why they shouldn't fix your cd player. Def tell them about the cds not coming out though. Putting a cd-rw should not have had any effect on that anyways. My dealership is actually going to replace mine because my head unit doesn't read the left audio part of cd tracks or something. So basically some cds cause my left speaker to sound really low no matter what.

So yeah take it the dealer or get the double din.

The cd's won't come out at all. Why do I need to get them out first?

Will they stand there in clear daylight and scratch my cd's??

It happened to me a few months ago. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the HU and they returned my cd's from Bose.
