SAT Button as Video Switch, possible?

Sorry if this is a painfully obvious question...

Trying to convert my NAV to play DVDs/PS2 in my G35 Sedan ('03)

I have on order:
AV Electronics Budget System (uses 12v switch to switch inputs for video, rather than remote control)

I also have the PAC-AAI-NIS2 ordered to play the sound over the stereo,.

Can I use the SAT Button to use to switch both video and sound from the NAV and radio to the DVD/PS2?

I searched all over the place (even on G35driver.com)... no one ever mentions it.

I haven't received everything so that's why i'm asking so i can order in advance anything i need.

thanks

i believe the PAC AAI-NIS units have a switched ground output on them... so that when you go into Sat mode (i.e. when you turn on your external source by hitting "Sat") if will activate ground on one of it's output wires

you should be able to use that ground signal to trigger a relay which can then signal your AVE unit (which i'm assuming uses a +12v signal to switch inputs?)

hmmm, thanks what i'm looking for...

the Av electronics unit is the budget one and it uses a 12v signal to switch, so i wasn't sure if the SAT and the PAC unit could work with each other...

If that doesn't work I have a module that allows you to switch an AUX device by using the OEM VDC button.
