Sirius sounding like a boosted AM?

I dont' know if it is just my car or everyone elses, but does your sirius satellite radio(which is supposed to be CD quality) sound like an AM radio boosted up?

The sound quality to my ears are between AM and FM. FM sounds better than my sirius...

Whats going on? Defective receiver?

Thanks!

If you adjust the levels you can get it to sound better than FM, but its never going to be CD quality. The OEM receivers don't output the best quality, and on top of it I think the BOSE ends up making it sound even flatter. Some people have claimed to fix it by adding a new amp and equalizer. The only plus is you don't notice it after you listen for a few months.

I added Sirius to my premium Bose and it is almost as clear as CD. Most stations are but there are a few that sound like low bit rate Internet radio. Overall a much better sound than AM or FM.

I added the Sirius Sportster to my car and I am not satisfied at all with the sound quality. I have already gone back to burning mp3's on my computer. I am thinking of returning it because the sound quality is not good at all. Has anyone tried changing from the FM transmitter to a direct input to the stereo? Is the sound quality any better? Please give an educated response...

Satellite Radio is Garbage...i had sirius factory installed and replaced it with an ipod adapter... It's def not worth the 13$ a months, the Quality is CRAP, and you most likely won't be listening to 80% of the stations...Cmon guys Martha Stewart Living Channel, Cosmo Radio, Who needs this crap?...Only positive thing about it is if your a sports feen they have like every game on...but other than that def not worh getting
