If you're going to get a bigger amp, the 10w6 might be better.

not looking to get too big of an amp, just trying to see what would work good. at first i was looking at the 10w6 but now i'm leaning towards the 10w3. does it hit pretty hard and clean?
thanks.

I dont know how much help i can be because i dont have my sub installed yet, but talked with alot of professional installers about what to do. I am getting the 4080 box which will handle both the W6 or the W3. I have the coupe, which i have been told will hit really hard and clean with the W3, so that is what i am getting. I was told that the JL 250/1 amp will more than enough to power the W3.
I talked with someone who had the w3 in an eclispe, which he said hit really hard and loud, almost too loud. From my understanding the W6 could be too loud.
I would however get the w3v3 because JL has totally redesigned the sub. The w3v2 has an optimal range of 250 watts and a max of 500watts(although you would never use that much becuase it would blow the sub) and the w3v3 has a optimal range of 300 watts with a max of 600 watts.
Check the JL website for more info on both verison.
