i went to the extent of ordering a in car adapter fromt he UK that had the inverter in the middle of the cable, to cut off the tip, and hardwire what i figured was pos/neg.....turned it on, and it smoked/fried.

i then went on to buy a regular one from EB or something, pretty bulky but what ever, i just drilled a hole in my arm rest, and ran the cable to the glove, so its being powered by a regular concieled in car adapter.
