Easiest Way to Run Wires into Doors?

i just recently drilled through the harness. the hardest part is actually getting the damn harness snapped back into the door. i used the writeup on 350z.com and it was pretty helpful. i did this because i didnt want to mount the crossover in the door. if i had to do it again i would have made the damn crossover fit because it took all day to get the doors wired and i wound up with a LOT of cuts on the knuckles.
you arent going to notice any diff in sound quality, but im still glad i did it this way even wtih the injuries.

I did that on a 350z, and it was not hard at all. Just keep a steady hand and make sure you don't bend any pins in the process. The second way, which is how I did it on my G is drill through the lower portion of the grommet that goes from the door jamb into the door. I did this then siliconed it. Once it was siliconed I put some black wire loom over it. It looks stock. I am considering moving my crossovers back into the car, and if I do so, I will drill through the stock harness instead.

A whole S**t ton of hot glue Seriously. Hot glue is an installers best friend. I live in New England and the weather changes all the time. I have never had a problem with them coming loose. Just prep both sides well with a degreaser and then some alcohol. It does make it difficult to remove, but I have taken out my old m661 x-overs and replaced them with the HEX's without a problem.

I'm probably one of those five... I tried drilling through the quick connects, ended bending a couple of pins, and breaking two. Was a bitch trying to solder new pins and all that back on, but I finally got it all working.
What I ended up doing was enlarging the quick connect hole on the bottom, using the trusty Dremel. Worked great, I ran the wires through, and then ended up sealing it all with hot glue. Also used hot glue to mount the tweets, like someone said.
All in all, it was a serious pain in my rear. I would probably not do it again, unless I had to.

OK...Finally did it this afternoon (left early from work because I was too anxious)
There is a small unused gromet that can be poped out (located under the stock wiring harness in the door jamb)
Next step, I ran a wire hanger through the opening and into the car footwell.
Then I proceeded to pull the wire through and cut a hole in the stock rubber gromet in the door. I pulled the wire all the way out the other gromet in the door
All Done....
